Out of School Program
Our service provides care before & afterschool for both Langdon School and Sarah Thompson Students.
Morning Program 6:30 am - 8:15 am
This is open to both school aged children and kindergarten children who attend Langdon School. We run THROUGH THE SUMMER months too!
**We OFFER SUBSIDY to families that qualify**
We know this is can be a very early start to your child's day and they may not be raring to go quite yet. Breakfast can be eaten at this time if not already eaten at home. *Parents must provide all meals and snacks*.
The enviroment is set to a quiet-calm. We encourage quiet reading and homework completion. Computer access is available. We have parental controls set and this will be a monitored station.
ESCORT TO SCHOOL
Our students will be escorted next door to Langdon School to ensure they arrive safely 5 minutes before bell times.
- 8:15 am - Langdon School aged students only
- 11:55 am - Langdon School afternoon Kinder Students will be escorted after first enjoying a fun 2.5 hour play environment with our morning preschool students.
ESCORT AFTER SCHOOL
Students will be escorted back from Langdon school to the Learning Centre next door to ensure a safe transition
- 11:20 am - Langdon School Kindergarten Students. Students will join our fun preschool class for 2.5 hours before the school children are released at 3:02
- 3:02 pm - Langdon School Kinder & school aged students
We close at 6:00 pm. Late pick ups will be subject to a $50 late fee for every 10 min past 6:00 pm.
Afternoon Program 11:20 am- 5:30 pm
We understand that your child has just completed a long day of learning. It's time to have some fun. For some children that might mean time to just socialize and be mobile, and for others, it might mean a quiet craft or a book in our cozy corner. Our classroom is divided into two sections so that we can accommodate both scenarios.
The last half of the program will be focussed on 30 min of homework and relaxation time. This could include some media access.
**Outside play is encouraged and we will access the school ground playgrounds during decent weather**
PD Days & Field Trips
We will have a schedule of field trips planned prior to the September school year. We will send out a survey of parent options and let you know if any additional fees will apply.
